Allegro League Arrangements 2023-24

After a gap due to the Covid lockdown followed last year by a lack of an organiser, the Allegro League is resuming for the 2023-24 season

14 teams have entered.

The regulations are as shown in the rules section. Each team on any evening cannot exceed a grading total of 6000 or an average of 1500 per player.

Games will be played under the Chess Scotland rules for rapid play matches. Copies of these rules will be on display.

The venue for this season is again Slateford Bowling Club, 28 Lanark Road, Edinburgh, EH14 1TH, which some of you will know as the clubrooms of the Civil Service and Gorgie Dalry Chess Clubs.

The premises open at 7pm. Matches start at 7.30 pm with a 15 minute break in the middle finishing at
9.45 pm.
